The Marion Shane Multicultural Center (MSMC) is a comprehensive center that assists with the educational, cultural, social and personal needs of all students, with special emphasis on ethnicity, gender, and minority issues. The primary focus of the center is to aid in the development of tomorrow’s leaders and scholars.  

Other areas of focus for the Multicultural Center are:

·         To create campus-wide awareness of diversity

·         To positively influence recruitment and retention of students 

·         To expose the cultural richness found in color, gender, national origin, creed, lifestyle and sexual orientation

·         To foster a safe environment for all students to learn and develop multicultural competencies

The Marion Shane Multicultural Center advocates educational growth through scholarship, leadership and service. The center strives to implement retention and personal enhancement programs that are instituted for students to promote academic success and professional development
